The tour begins, at a the several hundred years old listed farm house, Dúvugarðar in Saksun village. It is somewhat difficult to walk up the first path. It is a cairn path most of the way. It is not recommended to walk this tour during hunting season, which is from November 1st to December 31st. It is not permitted to have a dog while hiking in these grasslands.
